Cookie Policy
What cookies we use on wrensi.com, what each one actually does, and how to control them.
Last updated: 29 July 2026This policy explains how wrensi.com uses cookies and similar technologies. We've tried to write it in plain language rather than the usual wall of legal text, because a policy nobody can read isn't much use to anyone.
1. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device when you visit. They let a site remember things between page loads and between visits, which is what makes something as basic as a shopping cart possible.
Without cookies, your cart would empty every time you moved to a new page, and you'd have to log in again on every click.
2. Why We Use Them
We use cookies for three reasons, in order of how essential they are:
- To make the shop work — remembering your cart, keeping you logged in, and processing checkout securely
- To remember your preferences — so the site behaves consistently as you move around it
- To understand how the site is used — which pages people find useful, and where they get stuck
3. Cookies We Don't Use
Worth stating plainly, since most cookie policies only tell you what a site does collect:
- We don't sell your data to anyone
- We don't use cookies to build advertising profiles about you
- We don't read cookies set by other websites
- Cookies we set can't access files, photos, or anything else on your device
4. Types of Cookies on This Site
Essential cookies
These are required for the shop to function, and can't be switched off without breaking it.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_cart_hash | Tells the site your cart contents have changed, so totals stay correct | Session |
| woocommerce_items_in_cart | Keeps track of what's in your cart as you browse | Session |
| wp_woocommerce_session_ | Links your browser to your cart and order data on our server | 2 days |
| wordpress_logged_in_ | Keeps you signed in if you have a customer account | Session, or 14 days if you choose to be remembered |
| wp-settings- | Remembers display preferences for logged-in users | 1 year |
Functional cookies
These improve your experience but aren't strictly required. They remember things like recently viewed products and whether you've dismissed a notice, so the site doesn't repeat itself at you.
Analytics cookies
These help us understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages get visited, how people arrive, and where they leave. It's counting patterns rather than following individuals, and we use it to fix the parts of the site that aren't working.
We don't currently run advertising or remarketing cookies on this site. If that changes, we'll update this page and list exactly what's been added before it goes live.
5. Third-Party Services
Some parts of the site involve services we don't control, and those services may set their own cookies under their own policies:
- Payment providers — used to process card payments securely at checkout. We never see or store your full card details.
- Courier tracking — when you follow a tracking link, you're on the courier's website under their terms.
- WhatsApp — clicking any WhatsApp button on our site opens WhatsApp, which operates under Meta's own privacy terms.
- Social media — following a link to our Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok takes you onto their platforms and their cookie practices.
- Embedded maps — our contact page includes a Google Map, and Google may set cookies when it loads.
6. Cookies and Your Personal Information
Cookies themselves hold identifiers rather than personal details. Your name, address, and phone number come from what you enter at checkout, not from cookies. How we handle that information is covered in our Privacy Policy.
7. How to Control Cookies
You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Every major browser lets you do this:
- Chrome — Settings, then Privacy and security, then Cookies and other site data
- Safari — Settings, then Safari, then Privacy and security (mobile), or Preferences, then Privacy (desktop)
- Firefox — Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data
- Edge — Settings, then Cookies and site permissions
If you block all cookies, your cart won't hold items between pages and you won't be able to complete an order. If you'd rather not enable cookies, you can order on WhatsApp at +92 309 0614545 or by phone instead, and we'll set the order up for you.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There's no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, so we don't currently act on it differently. Since we don't run advertising or profiling cookies, there isn't much for it to switch off in our case.
9. Changes to This Policy
We'll update this page whenever we add or remove a cookie-setting service, and we'll change the "last updated" date at the top when we do. If we ever introduce advertising or analytics tracking beyond what's described here, this page gets updated before that tracking goes live, not after.
